Community
We encourage everyone to get involved with their local
community. Teams at Beachcroft have refurbished urban farms,
created a reading space for an inner city school, helped the
homeless to find work and raised funds for The Prince's Trust. Not
least, we are active members of Business in the Community, carrying
out pro-bono work through their Pro-Help programme and volunteer
work through their Cares programme. We all value these
opportunities to make a difference.
Environment
As a business, we are constantly striving to reduce our
environmental impact. We've reduced our electricity consumption by
25 per cent. We are also driving initiatives such as flexible
working, video-conferencing and emission-minimising travel to work
alternatives. All of this helped us to reduce our carbon footprint
by 5 per cent in just one year.
Work/life balance
Whilst we will obviously expect you to work hard and show
commitment, we also realise the importance of enjoying your life
outside work. That's why we help and encourage all of our people to
achieve a healthy work/life balance, working a manageable and
sensible number of hours.
We have a varied sporting and social calendar and have a range
of events and teams that you can get involved with, from theatre
trips and wine tasting evenings to cricket and netball tournaments,
or even taking part in the Three Peaks Challenge. So whatever your
interests there are always opportunities to get involved and get to
know each other.
